Early disk brakes

Shimano: Shimano made them in the mid-late 80's, they were a bolt on type deal and you need a flip-flop hub to use them.

Think shimano were as early as the 70's for their tandem disc, there were a couple of attempts before that. Hope started in 89/90, aiming for the MTB market in 1991, prostop were around the same time.
