Early 90s Yeti FRO

Re:

So I want to make this into a rider for me. See how it fits me. Removed the bar ends, old grips, saddle, and turned the bars up so the angle is higher. Also replaced the tiny wellgo flats with something bigger. Bike feels really great. Hope to get it dirt side next weekend at the latest. Been going to swapmeets for decades. Just had a feeling today.

Starting to also think it maybe the original paint. Bike hardly looks ridden. XTR hubs look brand new when I wiped the old dust grime off them.

Cool. Looks like a 92 Pro FRO. Nice transition frame with a few old [FRO] details and a few new [Pro FRO] details. Welded cable stops keep it in the 92-range, but the Tange tubing, derailleur pulley, and pinch-bolt collar push it past being a FRO.

Awesome. Was leaning to calling it a 1992 Pro FRO based in welded stops being that they went to riveted in 93. Pinch bolt also. Did a lot of studying last few days. Starting to think it is the original paint. Wouldn't mind a paint job and decals like this one:

Re:

I don't want to be rude, but the silver paint make it looks cheap and less Yeti in a way. Maybe it would help to get an black accu trax and some other period correct bits on it. The cockpit is just wrong in every way ;) Anyway, it got a lot of potensial!
