Just picked up this early 90's race bike made by AJP from Paris. Tubing is Reynolds 708 classic with full Shimano 600 Tricolor.
I've had a few bikes pass through my hands (probably 40 to 50) I buy 'em, fettle 'em, ride 'em and if I get on with them I keep them - there aren't many that pass the grade! But this AJP is one of the smoothest comfortable rides I've ever experienced.
Reynolds 708 seems to have been phased out quite quickly - I think most tubesets were sold off to Raleigh and Peugeot.
