Early 50s La Gazelle - Eau-de-Nil 🛠️ The Merlot Aftermath 🍷

I'm only 10 pages in but feel compelled to say that my thoughts toward French bikes are the same as they are toward burlesque artists and exotic dancers , they are wonderful to look at and admire but get involved at your mortal peril .
Hats off Woz .

I love French bikes and I've had a few. Life isn't complicated enough for @Woz so he feels compelled to do this. Which beats banging nails in your winky (Just) :) Though it is just as metaphorically painful...

You cheeky lot - of course it's not finished. It's not even dismantled and cleaned properly yet.

I actually think I'm working at a blistering pace, hit the ground running in 2023, storming ahead, taking no prisoners, etc.

Took the NDS cup off yesterday. Then I started procrastinating looking at the DS cup which requires a 38mm spanner. You know, a 38mm spanner. That really common size which every bike mechanic owns and packs under their saddle. It's thin as fcuk too so I'm not sure the vice trick will work either. :(

It's far too thin for a socket and a ring spanner too. Think the only way to get it off is an open ended spanner with a nut, bolt and some large washers through the cup to keep the spanner in place to stop it slipping.
