dynatech 700 - hub width

I have the above bike and am wondering what size hubs I can run in them.

On my Ciocc I had spread the rear triangle to run modern 130 hubs - can I do the same with the dynatech, as I am worried I will break the bonding on the lugs.

I haven't tried to spread the dropouts having heard tales broken stays.
I'd certainly be cautious and get a hub that fits.
If it's 126mm you'll be running 6 speed only, 128mm and you'll get 7 cogs in.

Dynatech were 1988-ish so surprised that it's not 130mm OLN as most bikes post-1986 are.
