just got a dyna tech of spudgun just trying to age it the serial number is d41136 .cheers nobby
Dyna-Tech and M-Trax frames (maybe other Raleigh frames), can be dated from the prefix letter of the frame stamping (under the BB, not the Dyna-Tech frameset sticker). A=1990, B=1991 etc. For example, my M-Trax is E, making it 1994. Your bike is 'D', hey presto that's 1993.

Not sure you can tell what model it is from the serial - unless you have access to a database from Raleigh (unlikely considering what happened to Raleigh SPD!). The frame might have two or all three main tubes made of titanium, then the rear triangle may also be titanium 'Dyna-Drive', or CrMo.

I've just found pics of your frame on another thread. So 1993 is post 'acid worm' paint jobs, instead the paint fade from lugs look. Will looks nice once built up

cheers matey ,just one other question was it common of raleigh to put a wrap around the ti tubes or was this just so they could do the fade paint work.cheers nobby

Not sure what you mean by 'wrap', but I assume it's the stuff that's peeling off your frame? That's the lacquer peeling. Raleigh used car-like paint processes, so multiple stages, including lacquer.

Do the same identification numbers apply to the later torus models of SPD?. My frame is stamped H3613 which would suggest 1997,but its a vbrake model only from 1998 or maybe '99

One would assume so, but I've not got a Torus  so can't compare. What does your 1948 bike have stamped on it
