Dura ace 7401/2 hoods

As these are getting harder to get hold of I have been trying different Shimano hoods, what do you reckon to the fit of these.

Those look like quite a good fit. Has anyone had any luck touching up the chrome effect finish on the plastic bit between the hoods and the levers? Mine are flaking as they usually do, I have some chrome effect spray paint but have yet to test it on anything, not sure how it will turn out...

The only time I have used that chrome paint was years ago and it was shite, wether it has been improved I don't know. Try it out on something and report back.
