Dura ace 7400 brake caliper adjuster thread diameter

How does that look?

Chat Noir, could you measure the width of the dip on top and the depth please......just to be really anal.

Re:

Looks impressively good!

Will have a look tomorrow morning and get some more details.

Out of interest, what software? Discussed this with my brother in San Diego and he uses Solidworks, he thought would be reasonably straightforward - in other times he would have done this himself.

Re:

Tricky to get accurate measurements so I've photographed the barrel adjuster that it rotates against as well.

(attached to a brake)

I measure the metal curve 6.6 mm wide and 1.5 mm high.
The metal bottom of the barrel adjuster has a sharper curve than the nylon bush which is much shallower - have tried to show this. The curve is about 5 or 6 mm across and it looks no more than 1.5 mm at it's deepest.

These 2 photos show how the two parts actually fit together - seeing this the tolerances don't appear too fine but the bush is a tight fit in the caliper.

Probably as much as I can do - good luck with this.

Done, printed a test one. took 12 minutes to print. Has come out ok, but will try with a finer nozzle to get it better.

The question is whether anyone actually wants one?

Hi Yogi, I would be really interested. Are you able to give a ball park price as i would fancy a couple and if they fit, then I’d be back for more as it’s this and a bit of plastic on the spring that are the parts that fail over time.

Hi team,
Did anyone have success with printing these? I am getting some done down in New Zealand and will be able to post if anyone is after some.
I have 3 sets of DA7400 & 7403 that need these inserts and barrel adjustors so will be getting a few done and will have spares.
cheers
