First I'd like to thank him for keeping her in such a good condition and leaving little to imagination with the component selection. After a few rides I felt like it would get more use than I anticipated. Then my initial plan of just replacing the stem was thrown away; I decided to treat her with some NOS parts and add my personal touch.
So here is the list of changes I've made.
- A pretty clean SP-7410 seat post, the one came with her had an unbounded top and was deeply scratched in some places.
- NOS 130 Cinelli Oyster stem
- NOS ST-7700-c STI levers
- NOS FC-7701 172.5m 53/39 Crankset
- NOS CN-7701 chain, waxed
- NOS CS-7000 12/27 cassette, not to upset the legs
- Challenge Strada Pro 25 mm tires
- Selle Italia Flite 1990 NJS saddle
- Look Keo Classic pedals, I've got this set in mint condition in my Cannondale-Saeco stash.
- Selle Italia SmooTape Corsa bartape
- Dura-Ace brake and gear cables
