Quite common in the mid 80's. SA drums couldnt hack it though plus no QR etc for 'quick' innertube changes/repairs

Definitely looks much too rough, everyone should look elsewhere.

And I'm sure the brakes could cope with my flat commute, right?

Somebody has bid, so it looks as though it will have a new home! I just bought another bike so needed the space. Any guesses on what i'll get for it?

For those that may be interested, I sold the bike for £35. The buyer travelled all the way from Macynlleth to sunny North Wales to collect. A really nice guy who advised that the actually built the bike personally when he worked at the British Eagles/Coventry Eagles factory in Mochdre, Powys. He tells me that this bike was one of 6, two of which were tandems. Bike was built circa 1986, the bike didn't really have a name as it was a special build for LBS. Fascinating to hear the stories and really topped of my wish that the bike would go to someone who would appreciate it, doesn't get better than the guy who built it. He told me that the bike looked very original. The look on his face when I opened the garage and he saw it was priceless, he went home a very happy man.
