Working on a bike for a pal. He's been complaining of the bike 'Rumbling' when putting power down on the pedals.
I have removed the chain and checked the bottom bracket, all fine there, chainset it also perfect, all nice and tight. Rear mech alignment has been checked and is ok, I tweaked it a little as it was 1mm out on each ring at the back end.
Re fitted the chain, rumble still apparent.
Is this a sign of a dead chain?
Never once come across this in all of my cycling years.
Thanks
