There is a “what’s the one bike you really want but can’t find”. but this is a “build” thread. Where we have to list an entire spec list of your dream bike as I would like to see your crazy ideas

I’ll do one in a bit as an example

For help use the spec list that is stuck to the top of the “readers mtb” section

All the above is easy enough to source.. except the frame. In 13yrs on RB, I have never seen a mint one..

Basically the build Santa stuffed down the chimney that particular Christmas.. that for reasons I still can’t comprehend, I stripped down and sold off, just over a year later for an LTS.

Still have the LTS - and the guilt, today.

Well it’s got a crack but it can be fixed he says, looks to be in good condition. But of course the post is 10yrs old so chances are slim you’ll get a response

Tbh I think I have two dream builds

1. Pace rc100 with tioga disc drive, xt drive train and pace parts. Rc35s, smoke/dart on 231 ceramic rims. Use post with ti Flite

2. Custom steel frame (dogsbolx, catwiskas, donkisnob, zinn etc) with full m900 xtr. Hed wheels, grey umma gumma tyres, and controlbtech finishing kit.

Hed wheels is an interesting shout on a skinny steel frame. Did you see one in your formative years with that combo?
