Yep, although took 10 days of ‘conversation’ re eBay fees !!! Oddly these ones in Spain didn’t pop up on my world wide searches. I worry all the German stuff doesn’t as well. I’m assuming it’s because they won’t post to uk by default.

This fork was offered at Ebay-Kleinanzeigen in Germany for 1450 Euros.
It had the same pictures. The seller was in Berlin.
One day after the offer has ended it showed up at ebay in Spain.
As I mentioned with the same picures.
This is a bit strange.

I already own a real Manitou fork made by Doug Bradbury. There are different versions before the design was sold to Answer with their larger manufactoring power. The older ones by Bradbury had no offset dropouts and 115mm spacing. But there are some originals looking like the Answer Manitou 1, too. Mine has standard 100mm dropouts with offset.

Haha, got a message from "seller" at ebay (I had placed two early bids to watch the item).
How I dare to make my cooment here without contacting him.
Ha!
I noticed the closed offer at Ebay-Kleinanzeigen after my bid. The text and most pictures were still visible and are now gone.
To be clear: Ebay-Kleinanzeigen is not ebay! The name will change within the next months.
And it is still very strange that one day the sellers location is Berlin (Ebay-Kleinanzeigen) and the other day it is in Spain (ebay).
Take a look at the bid history, too.
The three highest bidders have nearly no feedback and all three are bidding on this forks only.
Strange.
I´m out.

The "sellers" comment to my recent post:
"Hahaha I'm sorry, but now I'm not in Spain either. hurry up and write it on the UK forum. Today I am in Portugal, enjoying the Atlantic Sea. Fortunately, my children, ages 5 and 7, are older than you. I have been a user of the UK forum since 2006. But I like to laugh at people like you. redneck health"

No other words needed.

I have no proofs but also no doubts that those forks are not legit.

They seem painted and not anodized.

IMHO I think they are newer (or common Answer Manitou I) forks, cutted and with new dropouts solded. Some kind of replication.
I'd say they are not Doug Bradbury's original forks, but a good job though.

What makes you believe they are fake?
