Double-sided tape for attaching badges and stuff - which is best/ strongest?

Anyone know which is 'the' type to use? My Orange P7 badge seemed to be 'glued' on but I assume it was some sort of double-sided tape. A 3M one of a certain type?
It's for a retro-inspired (the originals are $$$!) cycle-related project....attaching glass to aluminium.....if it ends up looking good I'll share....! Thanks

I used contact adhesive with a stencil

I use the tape which is used to attach car badges. Can't remember the name, but it's rubbery and has a red backing tape.

3M double sided tape.
A more permanent adhesive would be 3M Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive 2oz

Thanks, have bought some pre-cut 20mm circles of 3M double-sided stuff, I think it will do the trick as it does stick glass.

Cheapo Psycho Psycles cantilever straddles here we come!
