Laying aside a rare period correct component for years, in my case for my kids build, only to find they either don't like how it works, its not properly compatible or the wrong reach/height. Of course there is one in really bad shape on the other side of the planet…..

On the bleeding edge of grip on a super fast fun run everything’s dialled in, mind and machine, big grin then tyres give up and you get spat over the berm into the dark and dingy undergrowth…..

You hit the lip on a big booter you’ve not sent before, twist the bars for a nice whip into the peak then spot the landing but you keep sailing and the landing disappears landing to flat straight into the next feature, feet blown off pedals, knakers take the full brunt to the saddle …. Ouch

you are waiting for an impossible to find part, and its delivered, but not to your address, and the picture taken to demonstrate delivery shows nothing more that the delivery drivers leg and a parcel.

And then you have to fight to find where it went or get your money back, either way a disaster for the build.
