Canti's

I have XTR M900 Cantis and levers but with V style pads (so I can replace the pads easier with little faff and they are easy to get hold of)
These cantis are easy to set up, much easier then the DiaComp/Suntour models.
I'm also running
Running : modern XT M770 V's and levers,
Running : M580 V's (last of the Mountain aimed LX, in all respect the same as the M770 but silver) with Avid 2.0L now called something else levers. Avid 5 or 7?

All in all they all stop me really well, they where all as easy to setup, though it's been easier to tune the Canti's over the V's

But out of all 3 I run I prefer the M900 setup and feel.
They all use the same pads, all run on MAvic XC717
So I can compare them well.

I did not like BitD Marin Lit's, My diacomp's (SS7 with 987), as they didn't stop as well as the M900 are much harder to set up.

I will say after seeing and having tired the 'Curve' V's they look a faff to setup. Not as easy as say the Modern M770's

Of course each to their own.

I went for v's. I had a set of the Cane Creek V's but found them a pain to set up properly. Sold them and got Shimano LX without the parallelowotsit. The new XT's look really good imho. Notice the absence of the para..........thingy.
