I thought i would put feelers out for a 17.5" YETI Pro FRO/Sherpa. I only need a good condition loop stay 2 piece back end. Not concerned if the front is dented or corroded. Hens teeth? Yes but worth a try

still looking

Still looking for a 17.5" Mid to late 90's YETI steel frame. Loop stays need to be in good condition, front triangle unimportant.

for repair

What are you making?

This is to repair a rather sorry YETI ive owned from new. Id only had it a few years when the rust starting creeping through the chainstay!

My friend is a superb framebuilder/engineer but bending a 19mm chromoly tube like on a YETI loopstay is tough.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry no Yeti frame but I have saw a builder recently with his own jig making looptail back ends. I can get you some details if you like?

Yes please fella. I have two 1500 19mm chromoly tubes ready to bend. The back end is a two piece affair and not like the early FRO back end.

Really appreciate this.

a galvanise company use a chemical bath to have the rust internally removed, to stop the rust from spreading.

you can then have the holes brazed? it will be strong enough for road use.

grtz, danny
