Fitted a Suntour Roller Cam. Close fitting. But one less big S on the T

Well done Tony - looks good. Whats the rest of the (retro) spec?

Any full on pictures? I always liked that frame

superb bud
i might try that now
put some sleeves around the straddle cable tho , wont cut thru the seat mast that way

Ah! so that's how you set up a rollercam brake! :D

as above though, it really needs something to stop that cable cutting through the seat tube!

As is the norm i was so busy fitting it forgot to slip some nice blue sleeves on. The wife said she was going to mention but thought not

She wanted to start again  but i couldn't start all over again. As it was a nightmare. Really needed six arms  Their is some clear frame protector between the frame and cable.

I bought this suntour tool but couldn't work out how it works  So wife had to lend a hand

And will have to change the pictures in the bike of the month now as changed the brakes f & r.

Thanks all

Put either end of the 'u' in one of the roller bolts and that gives you the perfect set up of the brake, producing a nice modulated stroke and ensuring that the brake isn't a bit on/off (which can happen if the full length of the cam isn't used).

Aren't you worried that the cable will cut into the fibreglass?

T you can also but some wide hangers which will help with clearance a bit.

First thumbies, now rollercam brakes. . . . .whatever next?

Looking good

When i bought the frame in 08 from the bay it came with a roller cam but i binned them

Not worried about the cable rub as the clear frame protector is first class stuff. once i've worked out how to use the tool may refit some sleeve round the cable.

Will look into wide hangers to. Any link?

ta :D
