Does anyone have this MBUK? (1998/1999 roughly)

It's the one that anounced the new Team MBUK/Specialized with Longden, Wardell, Tompkins etc and they all had red hardtails and the article was a trip to spain or somewhere.

I'd be so grateful if you have it and could scan in the pages there.

I've got the May -97 copy with the new MBUK/Nike team in it,,,and they are on a trip to Fuerteventura. All the names you mention are there,,but no mention of Specialized. Lots of red hardtails though.

Jamie Tomkins set up Base Bikes, don't know if they're still around but there's some on e-bay. Pete 'Mr Crud' as far as I know is still doing the crud thing. Could be wrong though :roll:

1998 10th Aniv MBUK

In 1998 the 10th Aniv MBUK issue was published. Big feature on the then current team with the folks u mention, but they're nmostly riding red specialized sussers' not hardtails.

It was a good retrospective issue...looking all the way back to 1988!
