I biought this from a retrobiker recently, thing isd I cannot for the life of me find it in any RSP catalogue - there are similar bikes (in Alloy and 853) but all have a different pivot and rear shock set up and completely different rear triangle.

Anyone recognise the year/ catalogue?

It's branded Proline MTrax 400.

If it's a bona fide RSP what was the original spec?
I've found this: But it differs at the rear.

btw mine has a RS deulxe - i SUSPECT it may be a snide - a Fake Raleigh?? Even the decals are in a different position from the catalogue bike.

im sure i have seen one of these before, think its deffinatly a Raleigh. Have you had a look through the "show us your" thread?

another slightly different one; viewtopic.php?f=1&t=270854

The rear stays are exactly the same as some other RSP's ive seen, just the rocker in a different position, maybe a transition model or a newer design just as they stopped making them!?

Thanks for the mate
It’s (I think) the same one as I have.
It’s odd that this particular rear set up is quite different - I was worried at first that I’d received a Frankenstein bike even though I actually prefer this to the normal set up.
If anyone should know it’s be bikemeister2000 - haven’t seen him around -

Anyone else know anything?

By the way I’ve replaced the stem for an xlite fly (anodised red) and the bars are Xlite risers (silver) - then the fork - what colour and type would match ?

Re:

Bikemeister2000 kindly addressed a few ifntjeee questions:

Yeah, the one in your photo is a 7005 alloy frame made to our design by A-Pro in Taiwan.
It's what should have been in the catalogue but was late in arriving. I had to use our own 853 version for the photo shoot instead.
Some of the early orders were filled with the 853 frame too.

Steve
