Dodgy ebayer

Dirt Disciple
Have recently had a bad experience with a Spanish based ebayer.
User name is: oiramgrande

He buys items that are shipped through the international shipping programme, then claims non receipt.
I'm not the first person to experience problems [check feedback - similar experience mentioned in positive feedback by another ebayer; positive as sellers can't leave neg feedback].

I would recommend adding to your blocked buyers list - save yourself the hassle.

Re:

That's the great [or not] thing about eBay.

If someone has paid with paypal, they can open a case at any time in something like 45 days since the purchase.

Paypal then freeze the funds as they refer to it - however if you have removed the funds from your Paypal account, then you end up with a minus balance.

The mental thing is, that the case was raised in the time frame that constitutes the 'time to dispatch' that was shown in my listing.

Case was raised and requested a refund.

I messaged to explain the time to dispatch [I work shifts] and that this was before the 5 days to get to Normanton in UK, where-after eBay would forward to Spain.

No response. So had to refund money [no hardship, but a pain up the ar$e to deal with]; had to file a counter claim to get eBay fees refunded.

Then get feedback that doesn't reflect the actuality of what happened.

Maybe I'm being a bit precious about it, but I can't understand how eBay get you to list a dispatch time [4 working days], and the method of shipping [3-5 working days]; which is the time before it gets to the international dispatch centre; how can a buyer be allowed to open a case until 9 working days has passed and it hasn't arrived at the eBay hub?

Up to other members, but if you are like me, you probably don't have the time to waste with this sort of nonsense.

Especially when you consider the time frame; I don't think you would get a pair of wheels delivered to Spain in 4 working days unless you paid a fortune for an international priority courier - at a cost likely exceeding the cost of the wheels.

UPS delivered a frame to Spain for me in under 3 days for £21.80.

That was via parcel 2go.com, who are a pain in the arse to deal with if anything goes wrong, but providing you pack it properly and don't underestimate weight or suze, UPS are absolutely flawless.
