Do you think we'll ever see a Shimano/Mavic/FSA/Fox/Michelin/wahoo type business cluster one day?

Probably not. Each acquisition bought something new to SRAM or Hayes. Shimano already produces wheels and finishing kit, Mavic and FSA would bring nothing new and tyres are a different ball game altogether. :)

Possibly because Hayes and Reynolds sponsor teams that use Öhlins and Fox forks, Sram sponsorship is likely to include a Rockshox suspension package. Maybe?

I hope not. I like Shimano, FSA and mavic... Not so much. About the only thing they all have in common (fox excluded) is an inability to innovate in a timely manner. Poor old Mavic, Michelin and FSA are barely relevant in the MTB scene now.

But FSA isn't the company it's a brand name for Tien Hsin a Taiwan company, makes many things for other, probably a bit like Sugino does.?

SunRace & SRSuntour ftw.

Maxxis is a brand name as such for Cheng Shin a large tyre company including CST and bike company branded tyres etc.

Continental being an even larger tyre company and sell under many names for cars and motorbikes too.
Also do powertrains, brakes etc.
Other than consolidating and markets, Why?
