Re: Disney Florida Holiday - any pointers?

Xerses,

I think i will have to go to Disney - my daughter will demand it but i will explain to her what a bad man he was - just like a 70s DJ!

Can we try and keep this on topic (unusual for me) as i am very short of time to get stuff done.

Re:

If where you are staying is considered inside the park shuttle buses abound to get you most everywhere you would need to be. If outside the park a car is the only way to go.
If in the park, I highly recommend the meal plan, if memory serves, saved like 40%.
Agree with one day per park. Magic Kingdom is the original and will most likely be your daughters favorite(they offer a princess breakfast, at a fee of course). Bring loads of sunscreen, remember it is Florida not the U.K. Most importantly relax and enjoy yourselves. Not sure you will see clowns though.

Re: Disney Florida Holiday - any pointers?

Thanks for that.

Does anyone know about smartpass or the thing to save queuing?

Richard

Re:

In Disney you get so many uses of smartpass a day and you basically go to smartpass queue book a return time then turn up. Only use when needed as some ques may be shorter. The Disney app may have this fully enabled by now.

If your kid has anything to do with lego then go to legoland. It's better than Disney ;-)

Went to Florida when it was cold and not so busy in Feb at 30C temps and magic place was not the best. Too many people. Epcot was pleasant day and night. Animal kingdom is the nicer place. Universal if you like some of the things, Dr Seuss, toy story etc.

We drove and it was easy. Kids like IHOP for a bite to eat.

I would not want to go when it was any hotter or busier, god help you.

Re: Disney Florida Holiday - any pointers?

LOL Thanks. Not much choice with the temp due to school holidays.

Odd, seems to be working for me. It was actually a link to a whole series of articles about SeaWorld.

Regardless, keeping animals in captivity and making them perform for entertainment, whether they're whales, dancing bears, sea lions or whatever, strikes me as cruel and I wouldn't want to perpetuate it by paying money to any organisation that does it.

This is the documentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd3hUwFq1LU
