well that went spectacularly wrong!
half way up a trail at silly o'clock in the morning on a shakedown ride and I experience half a pedal turns worth of resistance, a metallic ping and tyre rub. Get off and use my front light to check the rear wheel over thinking that a spoke had gone only to discover that my QR has disappeared into the knee high bracken either side of the trail and the hub is now completely disengaged. I haven't looked properly yet. I was a trifle annoyed, and that was before the 2 mile walk home at 5am through the woods. At least my front light was working.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to bring myself to face up to discovering the damage and the cost. Maybe closer to payday...Ian, does the offer of spares still stand?
In the meantime I'm going to get my juicy 7's on my Kona SS and hopefully get out on Friday afternoon.
