Disc mount adapter - idiots guide.

Can anyone help me determining what disc mount adapter I need?

I'm trying to fit a XT caliper to a Dialled PA frame with a 160 rotor. But none of the adapters I have seem to be fitting it correctly.

Is there measurements I can take to work out what I mount I need? I've never quite mastered it, just tried all I have until one works.

i m assuming your caliper is IS mount is the mount on your frame also IS (with the bolt head facing out ) or is it post mount with the bolt heads facing upwards

Mind that a standard rear IS mount is for 140mm rotor, so an adaptor is 140mm+20mm.

Off the top of my head, the shimano code I think is:
SM mar160 is
(Edit, it's: SM mar160 p/s)
That's if your frame is IS, which is where the bolts go in thru the side, and your caliper is post, (bolts thru the top) which it almost certainly will be these days...
I've got heaps of spare mounts and almost certainly have one that'll get you running in my toolbox. Pm me and you can have one for postage.
