Hi all, just trying to source the last few bits to allow me to complete my Pipedream build, and I'm not sure where to go to get the bolts I need for fitting some disc brake adapters and the brakes themselves. Your LBS I hear you cry, and that is an option, but I want to get something a little more bling, titanium perhaps, or at least something that doesn't rust.

What are my options, where can I get some, and most importantly I guess, what size bolt (thread and length) will I be looking for? Hope brakes will benefit from your answers.

Oh, and if you also know a good source, or could recommend a front post to post (183) and a rear is to post (163) disc adapter, that would help. Ideally hope to match the brakes and the britishness of the build.

Cheers

Oh, and if anyone could confirm what I think about how to fit a gear cable to an SRAM XO mech, that would be great (so used to shimano I was quite surprised that they need to be taken apart to fit??).

Re:

Don't know about the front mech but I've never taken either of my XO rear mechs apart to fit the cable , as for brake adapters your local hope dealer .

Re:

Unscrew the funny little star thingy on the top and remove top cover , then feed the cable in , a bit fiddly but easy , don't take the screw out of the bottom whatever you do !

Probably another daft question on the subject, but is there much of a difference between the hope floating rotoros on crc that seem to imply they are for mono/m4 brakes vs those implies that are for the newer hope tech brakes?

Just asking as I have some that appear to look like the former, but had intended running them on the latter.

Re:

Youd have to post links to them. I seem to recall hope doing a vented rotor i.e. it is non solid like on cars so it is thicker thus not compatible with many callipers.

Someone correct me but shimano do something similar with ice rotors, a central section of aluminium for lightness and better heat disipation sandwiched between two stainless steel surfaves for durability.
