Disc brake query.

I just bought a carbon fork off here.
The fork is the IS fitting am I right ?
Basically the disc calliper is for post mount as I understand.
So I found an adapter and I am suspecting I need a bigger disc.
The current disc is 160 mm so I think I am in need of a 180mm disc.
I might sound like a total nonce here but I just need a 2nd opinion.
Also does anyone have a spare 180mm disc they no longer need ?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff.

smaller adapter will make it fit and if that is too small, you then pack it out with washers till it sits right

Carbon fork is IS.
Rockshox fork is post.
Brake calliper is post.

Buy an IS fork to post adapter, available for 160, 185 and 205 mm rotors.

Re:

I wouldn't go bigger than 160mm disc on the front of those carbon forks.

A: check the manufacturers recommended max disc rotor size.

B: I can't really see the need for 180mm disc on a rigid fork??

Haven't seen a fork only rated to 160 for years.
The 3 or 4 rigid carbons I've had through my hands recently were all rated to 180 or 185.

The 17 stone bloke that I fitted the last set for will be grateful for 180s.
