Spotted this yesterday whilst doing a bit of beer infused bike scanning :)

Ignore the crap parts sold on the side, the frame looks interesting... No mention of size but it's small, seems to take 26" wheels - despite being pictured with 700c ones - and is fillet brazed judging by the headtube junctions in particular. Badly described and no bids so far. I would have picked this up if I was local and it stays at it's start price (and if my OH was smaller).

Cobra cycles..... That's ringing a bell. I'm sure I bought my first Sub 6 helmet from him. Small corner shop in Preston. I never remember any really fancy stuff in there though.

I might take a punt, out of pure interest if that's alright.

Anyone else gonna have a go?
I can always box it up and pass it on then.

I was going to have a go as its only up the road from me. I think this was built by my friend who contracted out to other bike shops his own frame shop was Corrado. It certainly looks like one of his fillet brazed frames.

Ah no worries then. I'm sure my folks wouldn't of appreciated it in the back of their car anyway : )

Do you remember that shop too?

The owner was a friendly guy and very helpful too.

I had Cobra build me an Audax bike in the early 90's. I just had it renovated, fresh powder coat, remade decals and some new components.... Cobra made some extremely nice bikes, craftsman quality frames.... They are worth restoring and making new again... My 20 year old bike looks new!
