I sold a perfect lightning frame to fund my Xizang a year ago and instantly regretted it. I’ve owned a few but the condition hasn’t matched the one I sold. Glad I’ve now got another Lightning which is 8/10 I’d say.
If I keep an old bike it’s because of its charm. Lightning has oodles because of the stupid ‘triple triangle technology.’ Just looks alone it’s weird, it’s also light and comfy and they’re beautifully made.
The other 3? Meh. Especially the Raleigh. I remember them being awful to ride when new, just too flexy. The light speed obed was an ok riding bike, I remember they cracked at the welds.
End of the day it’s the fit that matters. Keep the one you like to ride.
