Difference between LTS 1000, 2000, and 3000 frames?

I think I've convinced myself I want an LTS, but deciding which one has been a bit of a nightmare.

I prefer the look of the original 96 pivot arm, but believe the trunnion design afforded better flexibility and travel - so I'm opting for this one. Then, purely for aesthetics, I like the swept seat tube that came on the 98+ models, so now I know what year(s) I'll be after.

My question though: looking through catalogues and online, there doesn't seem to be any difference between the (98 onwards) LTS 1000, 2000, or 3000 other than groupset/fork etc specs. Were the frames identical across the three models?

think it was trim level

dont forget all 3 came in ds versions too

ideally get one with a disc rear end (gives u options for discs then )

or ive got an sts coming up for sale ? if ur interested

What was the difference with the DS versions? Disc brake models? I would agree discs would be a nice option.

I would LOVE an STS...!

I don't believe there is any differences in the frames but they may run different spec shocks.

I've got a 1000ds sts coming up for sale full Betd bearings etc disc rear end

And think the ds bikes were triple crown forks ?? But frame wise all the same jus shocks on rear were different
