My first road bike

on a "soudobrasé" frame from a small french framemaker ( former pro roadie ) Didier Louis in Columbus EL from the beginning of the 90's

Full Dura Ace 7400 range ( apart from the seatpost Shimano 600) with nice Mavic Reflex Ceramic

9950 g - for a 90's bike is that heavy or not ?
Forgive the ritchey pedals ( I am not a true roadie) which must weigh about 500 g ! ;)

I confess it has been resprayed black as it was sporting one of these flashy multicolor paint of that era and I chose black for cost and soberty reasons !

Re: Didier Louis - beginning of the nineties

Really nice build, great choice of components and it looks very purposeful.
Would love to hear how it rides and what your impressions are, especially if it is your first road bike.
Looks nice and subtle in black, for decals, if it was mine I would try white or gold or maybe gold with a red outline, might be a bit much.
Keep us updated

weather should be a bit better near Paris this week ! sun has resurfaced this week end after 2 months of "vacation" ! so should have a trial ride
to me this 7400 group is the best looking road group of the last 25 years, before a slide towards moderner "stranger things"

That pink track bike looks like it could have been built by Don Louis , a frame builder in the 1950/1960's based at Herne Hill South London , might you he was French :D
