For Sale Diamond Back Topanga 1991 very Avenir Equipped low mileage and in good fettle for age

I know this isn’t particularly a high end or top bike but it’s all pretty much original and low mileage even original tyres and what seems to be original brake pads hardly have much wear

some knocks and scrapes from some use over the years but generally very good condition for age

added timely Avenir Bar ends and pedal clips to give it the full Avenir equipped edge along with the Avenir bits and bobs it had originally including soft saddle that has somehow survived other than a some logo rub and some small scrapes

other than change of cables tubes and adding the bar ends and pedal clips it was all original when it came to me including grips

fully gone over re greased etc and rides very well

I would keep it but the DH bike has blown a rear shock and it’s now on its last legs

so needs must for the flying circus

some love a deeper clean and a little paint resto on the odd scrapes and re logoing here n there it would be getting close to a very high standard

Scotby Cycles are still going and took it round to the guys for a gander and were surprised to see it again : )

I still have my DB Topanga from 1990. It eventually became by computer and tour bike for too long to say. I rode it last year for a bit!! A cracker indeed!

I had mine tricked out (with what my pocket money could stretch to) and loved it. Made the error of lending it to a family member who managed to lose it. Yes, still bitter

That’s in lovely condition.. reminds me of my first ‘real’ mtb, a DB Traverse.. that one if yours was the big boy one!! Good luck

I feel your pain ahaha I lent my little brother my surfboard when he was living near the sea and I was working in London and not surfing much ….. saw it once and he’d dinged the fk out of it but still would have had it back …. then never saw it again and he confessed years later he sold it ppffttt … yep … still bitter ahaha

Thanks for the comments guys indeed it is a good one and rides nice, did see one on EBay the other day for quite a lot more and maybe not quite as original or in as good condition but was very clean
