Diamond Back Racing WBC

Looking for information on my bike. Acquired it about 12 years ago from a friend .

hi,
upfront I'm a Diamond Back fan and I do like the later WCF models. This is a nice bike.

It's from 1997, as in that year they changed the decals from "Diamond Back" in separate words to one long and single word "Diamondback" and this was the only year with that font type.

There had been 4 WCF models 1997:
A top model WCF 6.1 in white color, WCF R was the only variant without an suspension fork, the 4.1 had a Manitou and the 2.1 a RS Quadra, also components and groups differ.
Maybe also the lacquer of the dark models but that's had to seen with just catalog pics.




From what i can see or speculate on basis of your picture, you seem to have a suspension fork and the crown of this looks more like the one from the Rockshox, so it would be a 2.1.
