What do you mean with 'good'? They are big and cool! I think they are meant to be cool..... and they are good in being cool!!

thats near enough for this bike then!

houston, we have progress...

i decided i wanted the paint a little rough looking so i planned to just key the surface and paint straight on top. so i began a quick rub down. sadly there is no such thing as a quick rub down!

when the paper went over each imperfection it obviously enlarges it so it was soon apparent it needed a propper prep. so, 4 hours later and a midnight rattle can session with the frame on the washing line and this it=s the result.

bottom bracket and headset cups have been masked off with a very clever, ultra new invisible masking tape

;)

More progress. Feeling pretty good about this now.

The paint has gone on pretty well although i've missed a bit! I'll touch it in before i build it properly.

I've mocked the forks up. They are crown, steerer and stantioms off some cheapo 700c hybrid forks with some chopped down schwinn stingray fork blades over the top. Just got to remove the brake bosses, shorten the legs, remove the flames and figure out how to secure them properly.

Saddle has been fitted to a use post. I wasn't too sure about this idea but i think it works.

I'm happy that the 2.35 tyres fit in the stays too!
