Diamond Back Ascent

Retro Newbie
Possible looking to sell my Retro bike.Diamond Back Ascent. I bought it new in about 1990. It still has all the original gear on it. Even the Wonder Dawg tyres. It could possible use a new chain and could do with a strip down and re-greased etc. It’s got the usual chips for a bike of 30 years but no damage. No dents or bent. The seat has a couple of tears as per photo. Added a pair of Handle bar extensions but these can easily be removed. Any questions just ask.
Looking for about £500 or sensible offer. Location South Ayrshire Scotland.

Fantastic bike, in great condition.

In the kindness possible way, £500 is a too much for this, especially on this forum.

There is a pinned thread where you can request valuations, or get it up on eBay as bikes are making good money on there at the minute

Hi
Thanks for your feed back. Where would I be best to sell it & get a valuation?
Thanks

As Nick said ebay might be your best bet, due to current demand for cycles in general and some folk not on this planet/greed who are attempting to sell bikes for waaaay more than they are worth, this generally is pushing up prices a little on the used markets i.e - selling a bike for 10-20% more than it's worth is now easier thanks to the nutters trying to sell the same for 200%-500% more than they are worth... makes the 10-20% above market value option more attractive to the buyer!

My 2 cents on a valuation on this would be between £100-200 max, but as many will probably gun me down for... it's worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for it... to that Diamondback collector this might be this missing bike from their collection it could* be worth more.
