Diameter of 1995 steel Stumpjumper top tube?

I picked up a 1995 Stumpjumper last week and was planning on buying a problem solvers backstop for the top tube to facilitate running V-brakes. Its currently sitting in the shop and unfortunately the shops closed while the manager is off sick with a nasty cold so I have no ability to measure this myself and I can't be sure when they'll be back at work. Does anyone with a Stumpjumper of this year know what the diameter of the top tube is?
Problem solvers do three sizes so I'm hoping its either a 31.8 or 34.9.

Many thanks for checking. Due to the odd seatpost size I'd assumed the top tube would be an odd size as well though I'd hoped not.

I've had one of those problem solvers on a 95 stumpy. The 31.8 fitted ok

I just checked the brake cable clamp / problem solver that I still have, that used to be on of of my red ones (which are 1996) and its marked 1 1/4 inch and worked fine. It appears to fit just fine on my 1995 blue too.

Glad to know there are folk who have faced the same dilemma and used this exact same clamp. I was worried it would look hideous but its not too bad in the photo you shared. Thanks everyone for checking.

Only other clamp I saw was an Acor one which is for the downtube gear cable but assume it could be run as a brake.
