Desperately seeking...

Retro Newbie
amber wall (skin wall) tyres 700 x 20 c to fit my beautiful 1989 Peugeot Ultima.

I have tried many on line searches only to find tyres that are either inferior quality or very expensive (£45 each)!

Any help will be kindly received.

Kind Regards

Ken

The Michelin Dynamic Classic is a great tyre! Some say they are terrible but for me they are great
but the BIG modern print on the side-walls spoils it for me but they can be easily removed
by using white spirit, then you really have a great looking retro tyre.

The 20mm Classic seems to be selling out fast, CRC/Decathlon are sold out :? Must be some elsewhere!

Re:

Ian, thanks for the tip!

I was going to add that the branding ruins them a little, now I can remove it!!

Really easy to remove the print mate! you first need to soak the lettering for a few minutes! I normally fold paper
kitchen towel to the size of the print then soak the kitchen paper towel and press over the print and leave for
a while, then use use some old cloth soaked in white spirit and gently rub at the print and watch it come off.

DO NOT USE 'THINNERS' if you have any  It will attack the print and the rubber as it will ruin the tyre.

Re:

I sympathise! I use Vittoria Open Corsa's (or somesuch) and they have amber cotton sidewalls. Bit pricey, but less that £45 a tyre when I got them. Nice classic looks and they don't half ride well. Bit like a tubular.
