I was lucky find a Derek Bailey Rocky Mountain in rural Quebec, Canada this week and I figured I’d share. Here are a couple teasers as found. Couple of nice bits but generally a hodgepodge of modern and inexpensive replacements making it a basic get-around-town bike.
The fellow was surprised that I’d drive 1.5h for it and even more surprised to learn that people would go to the time and effort to find old parts after asking my plans. I told him it was a special one and he was thrilled to pass it along after it had been sitting unused for some time. I was hoping the fork was original but was unsure at the time of purchase. Excitingly, it is. Another note: A friend told to check under the black paint as he mentioned red and white was a typical RM colour scheme and sure enough, brilliant shiny white Imron is beginning to surface. More to come
