I love that stuff. The thumb shifters weren't 'handed'. The left and right were exactly the same but when you lift of the top cover, there is a little plastic insert that guides the cable that you put either one way or the other which then turns the shifter into a left or right.. Clever.

My '84 Stumpy is kitted out with this stuff, I'll take some pics, one day!
