Like those old 50/60s race cars that still carry their race scars, this looks better left as it is, ridden and enjoyed.

But that wear and tear is from being chained up outside Poundland and Happyshopper in Croydon for the past 10 years not from hammering down the Kamakazi run in 1992 - can’t even claim its been Ranjet Grewels pub bike for the past 20 years either, it’s no more than someone’s unwitting neglect

Loving the passion. Thats what RB is all about

thats a long seatpost extension, i'd also be checking the back of the seattube for cracks... infact I'd be checking everywhere for cracks. if its just the dents, then get them filled & the frame repainted, but not powdercoated

There was def no cracks.
Unfortunately he's not responded to my emails so looks like it's destined for life as a rat bike :(

Until it inevitably cracks and gets junked - just hope there’s someone down the line (like you) who will ultimately rescue it but by then it will need full on surgery

You never know you may get an email out of the blue in 6 months time with a change of heart

Wouldn't it be an idea to buy it and keep it in this condition? The bike tells quite a story!
( I must say I'm really into survivor cars and motorcycles )
