Picked up my 2nd Denton of the week - the 1st was from 1959

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=347550

This 2nd one is from 1976 and probably built to the Mercian Olympic spec. Reynolds 531DB and Shimano fork ends

I haven't really got any plans for it at the moment, but couldn't resist for £50 and only 5 miles down the road.

Cheers
Neil

Yeah, nice frame and a bargain price - I was watching this one too as I'm in the market for a scruffy frame for commuter duties, but passed as I'm really after something designed for 700c. Pleased it found a good home!

Now that's a nice looking frame :)

Way back in the 70's it was my job to polish the frames hanging up in the shop which included a couple of Mercian's among quite a lot of others.

The Olympic and Campionissimo were available as stock from Mercian so we had them hanging up along with other frames such as a Carlton Flyer and a CB Electron plus the rest which needed looking afte rLOL
