Very interesting topic. However I wouldn't rate personnally Delta Brakes as better stopping than a modern dual pivot rim brake

It was Martin Pynes mini shorter frame build by Shorters so probably Mr. Chick built this which I bought off Martin back in 08. Raced it in Cebu on several occasions

Agree. But DPs weren't readily available when Deltas were out

Wow, what a selection of the weird and wonderful! Not seen most of them before, thanks for posting. Interesting to see how many of the earlier designs had brackets behind the front stirrup to attach to the forks. To prevent 'judder' - or just to make sure they didn't come off in use?
