DeKerf bikes returning to the uk.

Factor in overseas shipping and handling through the importer and it's not much more than we pay here for one.

And worth every penny!
Build quality second to none. ;)

At £1,350 for the frame it's bit (well, a lot) too expensive for the likes of me.....

I'm sure they're great frames, but Dave Yates will build you a full custom Reynolds 853 mtb frame for £999, or a Roberts DOGS BOLX is £1,050. I really don't see the case for paying so much more for a de Kerf (or £1,399 for an IF Deluxe).

The shop did seem to be semi-open last time I passed, but door open, sign saying 'open', nobody in sight on the whole ground floor, no counter and no stock in sight except for a Yeti frame in the window. Not quite open as other shops know it.

l paid a visit to the Hove store last week end. Very beautiful frames but incredibly pricey, £2400 for a ti hardtail and around £1400 for a steel frame.
The shop does seem a bit imposing as Anthony says, just 1 Yeti frame in the window and a staircase but the guys seemed friendly and quite knowledgeable. Good to see boutique frames being sold near where l live but lm not sure its quite the right time to open such a shop :?

My DeKerf is the best steel hardtail ive ridden. Not sure i would pay full retail for one though when they're going surprisingly cheap on eBay when they do pop up. Think the last 853 one went for about £230

Please forgive this small nitpick...I'll say it as respectfully as possible...

It's "Dekerf," not "DeKerf".

The funny thing about pet peeves is that it's physically, emotionally, and psychologically impossible to resist commenting about them...that's why they are called "pet peeves." And this one is mine...due to the particular way that Chris Dekerf did his graphics on the downtubes, people started getting the idea that "De" is somehow separate from "kerf" and that the "k" is capitalized.

It is not. The k is not capitalized. Everybody got that?

Thank you for letting me clear that up. ;)

Since you go to all the trouble of spelling Hakkalügi with those funny dots over the 'u', we have no right to be surprised by your punctiliousness.

But why then do you insert a spurious comma in front of Explosif in your 'wanted' strap line. That is quite wrong. ;)
