Degreasing parts - what to use?

I have quite a few nice bits to clean up. Going for Autosol for polishing duties, but I need to get them clean first. What can I use to get centuries of dirt and grime off? I don't have a dishwasher ;)

Paraffin (kerosene) +1
White Spirit
Diesel
WD40 (good for headset and b/b bearings - dunk them in an egg-cup or plastic lid, and soak for 15 minutes)
Aviation fuel

All are inflammable

NOT petrol, ether, or dry cleaning fluid. :)

If you get grease on the beige carpet, Ronsonol lighter fluid and paper towel gets it off, pronto. (Then your house burns down. )

Dishwasher works well. Got any rellies with one?

Baby wipes are good but Finish line citrus degreaser is the nuts.

Combine the two and you're really onto a winner
