Decent retro full suspension??

Although I still have some projects to go, I would like to start looking for a full suspension bike or frame. I know that this is a very personal thing, but what do you recommend that can still be found for a decent price and actually works pretty well?
I have seen the VX version from Cannondale which seems pretty nice, or maybe a Proflex 555 or Beast that I have seen regulary?

Proflex 855, 856 or 857 all are good (well, OK it's a matter of opinion!).

GT RTS or LTS (depends on specific model)

i got my proflex frame cheap as nuts off evilbay (£39) and later got some vectors (£50 from bkt on here) then added some after market springs from RDS for about £75 the rest i built up with what i had lying around and it built into a nice bike, although i'm not happy with the paint, but only coz i got a cheap powder coat job done, but then like you i was looking for a cheapish retro full suss build.

overall i'm pleased though, did the IOW retro ride on it a few weeks ago and had no problems other than a squeaky b/b. and i kept up with a mate on a brand knew orange 5 on one of the downhill sections!!

it is a bit flexy but then it is a "proflex" but over all i like the ride and because it is quite short travel the pedal bob is quite slight assuming you have a smooth pedalling style.
