Don't laugh as this was the top of the range Al Carter in 1990 and came with a full DX groupset and has Tange butted OS tubes.

Anyway, for sale is this Al Carter Black Panther frame package. Included in the sale is everything you see except for the DX crankset and pedals so you get the frame, forks, headset (very smooth), bb (no play at all), seatpost + qr, and bottle cage. It has a 17" c to c (18.5 c to t) seat tube and 22" top tube.

It's in superb condition and can only have been used a hand full of times in the last 22 years. It's finished in satin black so take the decals off and build up a great stealth pub or winter bike or leave as is. The frame has no rust and only a few small scuffs. The seat post moves freely and as mentioned the bb and headset are in great nick.

I think £30 posted to the UK is vey fair for this package considering the condition. The buyer will not be disappointed ;) :D

Ooooh, I'm rather taken with this, I really want it (is that bizarre? :)) it's a lovely little thing. I'm too poor to own it a the moment (I know, how sad is that! :() - But I thought I'd give you a *BUMP* for this fine frame set. I hope it finds a loving home - Good luck with the sale, brocklanders023.

EDIT: If it's still here next week, I'd love to buy it :D.

I had one of these up until a few months back and they ride great the frames are like tanks they can take allot of abuse offroad.

.

Quality! This was one of my first ever mountain bikes.

I think it would have been interesting to walk around the Fisher factory of that time....nudge nudge wink wink!!

Sold now and collected :D

Phew I was tempted, purely because I had a Professional from the same catalogue as a kid and always liked the Black Panther.

There was similarity in the top of stays / seat clamp arrangement and dropouts to 1990 fishers - as well as similar geometry - is that what you are alluding to? Did they come out of the same factory?
