Decals or no decals

going to strio down the bianchi next week hopefully and send it out to be powder coated (thoughts on where to get this done in sussex would be great)

trouble is I am not sure whether or not to have decals put on or just to leave it. A few people have said to me I might do to have the decals taken off as the whole bianchi thing and theft.

My other thought is to have the decals done in orange, rather than the blue they were originally.

Bike doesn't quite look like this any more but give you some idea what I am talking about

I'd go with decals, but it depends on what colour you're planning on for the powder coating?

Bianchi's celeste green won't be a standard powder coat (extra cost ). Off the peg colours are from the RAL chart and not many powder coaters stock all the RAL colours (non stock, extra cost ). You may get a RAL thats close to celeste until you stand it next to another Bianchi.

It doesn't look like it's so intrinsicaly valuable that you'd damage its value by changing things a bit. Why not have a look in Lloyds' catalogue to see if there are any alternative styles of Bianchi decals that take your fancy?

Seriously, you may find somewhere that's done a Bianchi recently and has some paint left on the shelf. Somewhere like Amourtex or Argos might be worth asking, I know they do a lot of bikes so there's a good chance of a Bianchi passing through.
