Deal extreme/Ebay 900 lumen lights

I'm guessing a few folks will have been running these for a while now. How are they holding up? Also I see the lumen count is up and whilst I appreciate that the accuracy of such claims are ropey has anyone bought some of the new ones? This is the type I'm talking about.

bought one of these last years Oct. Using it during wintertime on night runs. not into lumen counts but found it perfect for my usage. turned paths, trails and forest highways into daylight - uphill as well as downhill. when using lowbeam for uphill and highbeam for downhill almost 3 hrs. of battery capacity is secured. mounting is easy done and keeps the lamp on the bar without movement. only downside was that the soldering of the accupack broke, but was easily fixed by myself. despite that its def. worth buying - great value for money.

I've also run one of last years "900Lumen" DX lights (MJ-80 still working fine. Ignoring the number of lumens, I would mostly ride on the mid setting (mine has high, mid & flash only), combined with one of the "bargain ebay lights" (see other thread) as a helmet light. Would happily run for the regular mid-week post work ride - 2.5-3hrs.

Only pictures I have with it on are these:
With flash (F3.2, 1/60s, ISO1600)
WIthout flash (F2.8, 0.3s, ISO1600)

They are good for the money. We have an older 900 and the newer 1200 for wor lass. They aren't as bright as my hope4, but they are very effective. They are a more concentrated beam than the hope, the 1200 is the most concentrated of the two. Tasha prefers her lights helmet mounted, so the 900 is being ran on the bars and the 1200 helmet mounted.
I used the 1200 helmet mounted this week and I'm impressed, I'll probably stick with just the hope on the bars though, I've been riding like that for too long

I'm waiting on the XML version arriving, not sure where to mount it though, with my crash record the top of my helmet might not be a good idea.

Bought one last year, loved it. Managed to drop the chargerin a mug of coffee and it wasn't the same again. Ordered a second one for this year on Sunday, also bagged a y cable and plan on hetting a wide angle lense from ebay US to provide better spread from one unit and a focused beam from the second. Also going to grab one of the uber bright tail lights although think led flashers are better.

same as P20 , I use an old 900 on the bars and the new 1200 on the helmet .

the 900 is 3 year old and is used twice a day in winter plus a 2h ride . the switch is a bit dodgy now , need to press a few times to change mode , but battery still ok .

the 1200 is just amazing , , especially for £30 posted .
