Good idea thanks! I'll check those codes when im back home after the weekend.

Could well be 98 if the white black and yellow frame is definately 97 and those LX cranks were made 97 and 98.

If you still have this, I might be able to help dating it from the frame number. Worth a go if you want to share it.

I bought one of these bikes new in 1999 from Paul’s Cycles who bought up a lot of old stock. The frame in True Temper Cro-Mo and is very light for steel. Unfortunately mine rusted through the chain stays from the inside in less than a year and was replaced by Paul’s Cycles with a GT Zaskar frame. I’d have a very close look at the integrity of the frame as they are paper thin.
