Daytime rear lights - recommendations?

Best bit is you can try them and take them back if not what you want. That and three years warranty

these wouldn't be bad for clipping to rucksack etc if not for the annoying CR2032 cell size you'll have to keep buying

I have several of these lights, the brand-X one had it cells replaced last winter and they are still going after about 10 2 hour night rides this year. Always used in flash mode so it's more economical on the cells though.

I'm not a flash mode person, they irritate me.

It's a common size but like LR44 I've never had many last too long.
But if they do then that's good.
(I already have boxes of CR2032).

The rechargeable one from Aldi I've just got is bright and rechargeable.
The front light is tiny but bright, maybe too bright in full beam, it has four dimmer modes (or flashing modes too on a separate loop).
(The £15 set I linked to).

I'm going to look on AliExpress for the same and see how much cheaper they can be (without the 3yr warranty though)

Probably a bit thick here but why do you need lights in the daylight ?
Surely some nice retro dayglow cycle apparel and neon paintjob on your bike are enough.
People who run down cyclists because they didn't see them will still run down cyclists with lights in broad daylight !

Indeed. People squash cyclists because they're not paying attention/they're driving like Roger Ramjet with piles, not because they can't see another moving vehicle. Don't do something in the name of safety unless it's proven to have a safety benefit - the law of unintended consequences is always on the prowl.

Down here in Spain where we have very bright sunlight almost everyday, it is definitely a lot easier to see cyclists with decent rear lights on even at midday, and they can be seen from much further away than those that don't have lights. In the winter the air is generally clearer, while in summer most days have a heat haze that reduces visibility quite a lot and good rear lights definitely stand out. Bright clothing can be made almost invisible by the haze in summer, and even when it is visible, a good light is even more visible.
While I agree that people generally squash cyclists because they're driving like f*uckwits, I also think that if there's a way to make yourself more visible to said f*ckwits, then maybe they'll manage to avoid squashing you... those lights that have a random flash pattern really do grab the attention from a long way away.

Worked when I was younger, so should be fine now right.
